After you have blown out your eggs, you'll need to attach some ribbons or thread to them so you can hang them on your tree. Begin by breaking a toothpick in half, then tie a piece of string around it (around 6 to 8 inches in length), making sure that the tails are close to even in length.

Carefully insert the toothpick half, with the string tied around it, into the hole in the top of the egg.

Jiggle the egg a bit to be sure the toothpick is really in there, then pull the string taught. The toothpick will be horizontally lodged inside the top of the egg.

Tie the ends of the string together in a knot and snip off any excess thread. Now your egg is ready to hang on a tree!

Hang your finished eggs on the flowering branches of your choice. Dogwood branches, pictured here, are an elegant option.
