Leaving the old bones of the farmhouse gives the entry hall a warm inviting space to enter the house through. Restoration of the 100 year old fireplace and exposing the ceiling beams completes the room.

A new addition to an old farmhouse the large multipurpose room is for the family to gather in. A large wood burning fireplace warms the room and was constructed of stones from the area and finished with a mantel of reclaimed lumber. Large twig chandeliers add whimsy to the room. The space also leads to the back porch for dining or walking out to the gardens.

To extend the home we designed a covered porch for dining and sitting. The area includes a wood fireplace of large stones found on the property, an antler chandelier, and a sitting area rooted by an outdoor area rug.

The open plan of the kitchen allows to space to be the center of entertaining will fulfilling the gourmet cook. The large window allows for great light thoughout the day and views of the property. Blending reclaimed wood for floor and cabinetry with stone and painted cabinetry adds warmth to the space.

The master suite offers the homeowners a sanctuary where during the day they can gaze through the large windows over their property, and at night enjoy a roaring fireplace. The farm architecture of the home was highlighted over the fireplace to cover a modern amenity, a TV.

The master bath has the entire modern-day amenities such as large double vanity, walk-in shower, and separate water closet, however this room also called for an old-style claw-foot tub to be placed at the window. While taking a bath one can see the view, but obscure the interior with the sheer drapery.

To offer style and distinction to the pool area, we included a fanciful pool house and pergola. The area has a little bit for everyone: lounging, dining, and gardening.

With the warm tones and serene mood, this room offers a quite place to sit day or night. We contrast the formal-style fireplace with colors and fabric textures to create the desired effect.
