Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, Great Milton, Oxfordshire England: Even before they’ve had a chance to tour chef Raymond Blanc’s celebrated vegetable garden, arriving guests are greeted by dazzling sprays of deep violet-blue ‘Hidcote’ lavender along the front walk. The intensely aromatic herb is harvested for the kitchen of the renowned restaurant, which uses it to make sorbet and infuse sugar for desserts.

Hotel de Russie, Rome, Italy: The hotel features extensive, terraced gardens, coined the "Secret Garden" because they are hidden behind the building which overlooks Via del Babuino. Guests can dine alfresco at Le Jardin de Russie restaurant or enjoy a peaceful stroll. Soft lights complete the beauty of the garden which hosts in spring and summer the Stravinskij Bar. The garden also includes a Butterfly Oasi, created in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund.

One & Only Ocean Club, New Providence Island, Bahamas: The resort features an elaborate terraced garden modeled after those at the Chateau de Versailles, built by Ocean Club founder Huntington Hartford. These traditional gardens include elegant statues of Carrera marble as well as an entire 14th-century Augustinian cloister from France, purchased from William Randolph Hearst and reassembled piece-by-piece on site.
